Part open mic, part thought cocktail, part happy hour on a Friday night, listen in as caffeinated ideas unfold. Each presenters has 20 slides showing for 20 seconds each–say what you mean, get to the point, and then sit down. WAM presents a lineup of local artists, musicians, and designers–creative types of every stripe–in streamlined offerings about what’s up and on their minds.
Friday, October 1
Round Again and Déjà Vu
5 to 6:45 pm | Cash bar and Chatter Box Bites available + Muse Cafe dinner (reservations required)
6:45 pm | Chatter presentations in the S. Jim and Darla Farha Great Hall
8 pm | Cash bar and Chatter Box Bites available + Muse Cafe small plates (reservations required) | DJ Carbon spins the tunes. Suffragettes from the League of Women Voters who marched in the RiverFest Parade that evening join the chaos and strut their glorious costumes and confidence through the throng.
10 pm | Evening winds down and doors close
Select creatives from the past 10 years take the mic for a second time. You loved them once—you’ll love them more when you hear them again. Creatives include public artist Ella Baccus, writer Bree Cox, video producer Rik Dubiel, designer Bill Gardner, musician Tim Jones, artist Armando Minjarez, photographer Gavin Peters, and designer Jonathan Wood.
