About the Artwork

Tulum is a picture of one of the smaller structures in the amazing Mayan religious center of Tulum. The ancient buildings, now completely deserted, still tower in ghostly majesty on a high cliff overlooking the Atlantic. This is one of several watercolors painted during a visit by the artist to fabulous Tulum in 1950.
