Marlow depicts the Kirkham Abbey, focusing on the entry way. To the left, we see the arched bridge that passes over the River Derwent as well as the entrance arch of Kirkham Priory. Though not much of the building remains, Marlow gives a nod of appreciation to these monuments that have become a staple of the everyday landscape for those in Yorkshire.
