The particular character of de Creeft’s drawings, such as Crouching Nude, has been succinctly described by Dorothy Grafly in an interview with the artist: “His own drawings are actually line-enclosed forms. You sense not only the linear flow that vitalizes the figure, but also the pulsating tri-dimensional form that makes the flow possible.”1
