The Emprise Bank Research Library is a non-lending library for curators and scholars as they conduct art research.

The Library’s resources include more than 10,000 books, periodicals, auction catalogs, over 2,000 artist files, museum handbooks, exhibition catalogs, and electronic databases. The archival papers of WAM are maintained by the library, along with the personal papers of Elizabeth S. Navas and former director Howard E. Wooden.

The Library is available to the public by appointment from 10 am to 2:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All materials must be used in the library.

The Library catalog can be searched through the Wichita State University catalogue at libcat.wichita.edu. The search can be limited to the Wichita Art Museum Library or through a general search.

The Wichita Art Museum Library maintains files on artists, with an emphasis on American artists and those related to the Wichita Art Museum collection. If you are interested in the contents of these files for research purposes, please call the Library at 316-268-4918 or e-mail library@wam.org.
