Join us for a conversation with artist Stephen Towns and historian Lu Vickers, co-author of "Paradise Park: Tourism and Segregation at Silver Springs". This program celebrates "Safer Waters: Picturing Black Recreation at Midcentury", featuring Towns' paintings and quilts that illuminate the history of Paradise Park, a Florida lake resort for Black Americans during the Jim Crow era.

Highlights include storytime with the artist, sensory activities, simple sewing, and music and dance from the era.
