Janice Burdine Thacker is an artist, author, community organizer, arts educator, and retired school counselor. She has been a lifelong community activist, working tirelessly for positive change for youth. Thacker is currently working to create a community art center in the North Central neighborhood, called Ruby’s Cultural Corner. Perhaps you read about it in the Wichita Eagle? Join in and hear about how Janice has used her talents throughout the years to lift communities and promote positive change. This program will be available on a limited basis in-person AND virtual viewing via Zoom. Senior Wednesday offers lifelong learning opportunities for active adults 55+.
