What happens when one of the region’s premier art galleries with a 43-year history in Wichita changes hands? Go behind the scenes with artist and art appraiser Trish VanOsdel, now vice president and secretary/treasurer of Reuben Saunders Gallery, as she shares the story of this important asset in Wichita’s vibrant arts community.
In January 2021, well-known art collector and chairman/president of Emprise Financial Corporation, Mike Michaelis, joined with VanOsdel to purchase Reuben Saunders Gallery. With this partnership, Michaelis found the perfect person to manage their new business venture: Trish VanOsdel. This incredibly multi-faceted individual is a practicing sculptor and also a businesswoman, operating VanOsdel Estate Sales. Together, Michaelis and VanOsdel have started a new legacy for the gallery.
NOTE: The deadline to purchase tickets was Tuesday, March 15.
