When was the last time you visited one of the City’s pools? In spring and summer, they were transformed and amazingly enhanced. An army of artists created extraordinary art for these important public spaces in our city. Artists Connie Ernatt and Kent Williams led the team and coordinated these commissioned and site-specific artworks. Art now adds spark to five pools in Aley Park, Harvest Park, McAfee Pool at McAdams Park, Minisa Park, and Orchard Park. Come hear the artists share the story of this great new chapter in Wichita. Come see their illustrations of crazy-great art that now adds so much to the built environment in Wichita.

Artists involved in this large and even historic undertaking include Sarah Alsaied, Arts Partners, Stephen Atwood, Nina Baughman, Chuck Bonner, Eric Carroll, Terry Corbett, Karen Cox, Marc Durfee, John Ernatt, Sam Forner, Brady Hatter, David Iles, Rollin Karg, Amanda Mayflower, Charles McAfee, Mike Miller, Armando Minjarez, Chris Neumann, Cecil Papillion, Quintis Pinkston, Kat Smalls, Gary Staab, Tina Slater-Thomas and her students at Wichita North High School, and Grant Stuart. And, naturally, we must applaud the ringleaders, artists Connie Ernatt and Kent Thomas Williams.

Note: The RSVP deadline has passed. See you at Monday’s lunch!
