Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers dedicate over 5500 hours each year to the Wichita Art Museum.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available to fit your interests and availability. From serving as a docent, to working as an attendant in the Museum Store; to assisting at the Welcome Desk and helping with special events; Museum volunteers play an important role every day.

To join the 150 person volunteer team, please contact Debbie at [316] 268-4912 or deuserd@wichitaartmuseum.org, or you can click here to fill out and submit the volunteer form.

The Friends invite volunteers of all ages to be an integral part of the WAM community. Volunteering is a superb way to meet new and interesting people, learn more about art,
and support WAM.

There are many volunteer opportunities with the Friends. For more information about volunteering at the museum, complete the Volunteer Registration Form.

You can also check out the Corporation for National & Community Service for information on Volunteering in America 2007 and Kansas in particular, and The Civic Life Index.
