WAM Participates in July Final Friday

 

Wichita Art Museum Hosts Artist During July Final Friday

Wichita: Enjoy Final Friday at WAM! The Museum will be open from 5pm to 8pm as part of the citywide Final Friday Gallery Crawl on Friday, July 30.

Artist Leon Loughridge will demonstrate the intricacies of creating his woodblock prints from 5-6pm. The Muse restaurant will accept call ahead seating at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. Walk-ins will also be welcomed before 7pm. For reservations, please call 316-268-4973.

Explore the inventive works of Leon Loughridge's exhibition entitled Western Imprints: Carving Out the Western Landscape. Also experience the intrigue of Wichita Native, Michael Aurbach's exhibition, The Secrecy Series: Selected Works. Come and see everything that's new at WAM.

Final Friday is free and open to the public.

 

The Wichita Art Museum opened in 1935. It is home to The Roland P. Murdock Collection, one of the premier collections of American Art in the country. The Museum is proud to be supported through public and private funds, owned by the City of Wichita and managed by a private entity, Wichita Art Museum, Inc. Located at 1400 West Museum Boulevard, the Museum and Museum store are open Sunday noon – 5 p.m., and Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free through September 30 and scheduled school groups are always free.
