Museum Celebrates 75th Anniversary with
Family Ice Cream Social
Wichita: Bring the family and celebrate 75years of American art at the WAM Family Birthday Party on Saturday, July 17from 3pm to 5pm.
Commemorate 75 years of the Wichita Art Museum in the Wichita community, with free ice cream, a live band on the museum lawn and coloring books for the kids. Children will also enjoy creating an art project with the help of the Museum’s staff. This event was made possible in part by the Lattner Family Foundation, the Wichita Wagonmasters, the Coleman Company, Hiland-Steffen Dairy, The Boeing Company, the Nifty Nut House and the City of Wichita.
“We hope this event can serve the dual purpose of showing our appreciation to the community for their support, while celebrating our anniversary,” says Charles K. Steiner, Museum Executive Director.
On view in the Museum is In Plane View, an exhibition from the Smithsonian Institute and The Secrecy Series: Selected Works by Wichita native, Michael Aurbach. Saturdays are free for everyone at WAM.
Please call (316) 268-4921 for more information about the WAM Family Birthday Party.
