The Emprise Bank Research Library is a non-lending library organized primarily for staff in researching the permanent collection and acquisitions, and planning for exhibitions, lectures and other activities related to the art collection.
The Library’s resources include more than 10,000 books, periodicals, auction catalogs, over 2000 artist files, museum handbooks, exhibition catalogs, and electronic databases. The archival papers of WAM are maintained by the library, along with the personal papers of Elizabeth S. Navas and former director Howard E Wooden.
The Library is available to the public by appointment, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. All materials must be used in the library. The Library catalog can be searched through the Wichita State University catalog at http://libcat.wichita.edu. The search can be limited to the Wichita Art Museum Library, or through a general search.
